Yet another ‘off season’ exhibition!

Kim Clijsters is due to arrive in Bangkok on December 29 for an exhibition match against world No 1 Caroline Wozniacki on January 1 in the coastal resort. The two stars of the women’s game will also join men’s pairs Bob and Mike Bryan and Sonchat and Sanchai Ratiwatana to offer alms to monks at dawn on January 2.

Wozniacki and Clijsters’ singles match at Centennial Park in Hua Hin is at 5pm on New Year’s Day and will be televised live on Moder Nine TV and ESPN. A men’s doubles match between the Bryans and local favourites the Ratiwatanas will follow. Wozniacki will touch down on December 27 and has booked a spa visit to rejuvenate body and mind. Clijsters will arrive in Bangkok with her family and proceed to Hua Hin. Wozniacki and Clijsters will travel to Bangkok on December 30 and sign the visitors’ book at Siriraj Hospital to wish His Majesty good health and a speedy recovery. They will then meet Prime Minister Abhisit Vejajiva at Government House before taking a lunch cruise along the Chao Phraya River.

Bob and Mike Bryan are set to arrive on December 30 to conduct a tennis clinic for talented Thai juniors on January 2 in Hua Hin.

January 2 will see Clijsters, who lists cooking as one of her favourite activities, shop for ingredients at a Hua Hin market before joining a Thai cooking class
