Ana teams up with Rafa to take on Caroline Wozniacki and Carlos Moya.

Ana Ivanovic last night took part in a special exhibition, on the eve of the Mutua Madrid Open, in aid of the Felix Mantilla Foundation against Skin Cancer.¬†Among the highlights of an entertaining evening was a brief doubles contest in which Ana teamed up with men’s world No.1 Rafael Nadal to take on women’s world No.1 Caroline Wozniacki and Spanish favourite Carlos Moya.

Ana said: “It’s always fun to take part in this kind of event. I enjoyed playing with Rafa and it seemed like everyone had fun, including the spectators. Sometimes it’s good to get on the court and relax and mess around a little!”

Carlos Moya calls it quits!

Carlos Moya has announced his retirement because of a persistent foot injury. “It’s not how I dreamt of ending,” said the 34-year-old, who beat fellow Spaniard Alex Corretja in straight sets in the 1998 French final.

Moya, runner-up at the Australian Open the previous year, went on to briefly become world number one in 1999. In 2004, he helped Spain win the Davis Cup but was plagued by injuries in the later stages of his 15-year career. Moya, who was born in Majorca like current world number one Rafael Nadal, made his last appearance on the ATP tour at the Madrid Masters in May, when he lost to Germany’s Benjamin Becker in the opening round. He plans to play one more tournament in Seville next month before calling it quits. “I wanted to say goodbye at one of the big tournaments, the Grand Slams, but that dream wasn’t to be,”

“I am still young for life but for sport, I am already knocking on a bit.”

Moya and Cerezuela, who have been dating since 2007, said they became aware Cerezuela was pregnant while Down Under for the Australian Open.
