Venus displays her ass and lack of taste in Paris.

A couple of years ago Alize Cornet received a reprimand from the chair umpire during a match at the Hopman Cup in Perth Australia, for wearing unsuitable inappropiate clothing on court. She had worn a white low-cut top that became rather revealing when she perspired. It was a minor storm in a teacup! Cornet was a teenager at the time, had burst onto the scene and was partnering Giles Simon in the Cup.

There have been other dubious dress incidents in the past, most originating at Wimbledon which has a stricter dress code than most tournaments. Frilly panties, one piece form fitting sheaths etc.

I have to wonder what Venus will wear next month? Maybe nothing at all? She is an aging, established, highly respected, wealthy star of the WTA tour, and does not need to wear such tacky outfits. Except to promote her “Eleven’ brand on the courts of Roland Garros!

It’s in bad taste, a bad choice that needs to be curtailed!

She is not displaying anything, the laws of physics are doing their thing and REVEALING things about her as she goes about her craft. It will be a cold day in hell when you have a right to criticise a woman’s underwear and choice in wearing it – frilly is not good enough? The opposite (tight, skin matching, form-fitting and with complete coverage of all intimate areas) STILL not good enough? What IS good enough? What you are wanting to say is that her body offends you. You should look at her tennis playing instead if you are offended. Whether or not Venus is: “tacky” or “wealthy” or “aging” etc are all absolutely immaterial here and it is transparent what underpins such commentary as this👆🏽

No my friend, she should carry on, within the confines of each tournament’s rules and if it is deemed nobody should see what is underneath a woman’s skirt (and maybe there is an argument for that) then change the rules to mandate wearing of shorts or a long skirt…we most definitely do not have the right to denigrate a woman’s legitimate attire and most certainly not her body, both when she is doing her job. What needs to be “curtailed” is your bigotry and racism and this blog is to be reported
